Some CPF Chapters and teams have been serving their communities for more than 40 years!  CPF Chapter volunteers are key to our success. Without their efforts and advocacy, FSL programs would never have been established and sustained across the country. They are the unsung heroes in the story of a bilingual Canada.

CPF Chapters & Teams

You and your co-volunteers can lead and coordinate an agreed-upon CPF brand activity or event to benefit youth learning French in your community.

Chapters & Teams provide:

  • local programming (e.g. fun French movie nights) to enrich French as a second language (FSL) learning in schools;
  • offer information and resources to parents wanting to support their children’s FSL journey; and
  • advocate for increased and improved FSL opportunities for students at the school district level and with school administration.

WHY START A CHAPTER OR TEAM?

As a member of CPF means you will be taking an active part in the educational and personal growth of our nation’s youth while contributing to the vitality of Canada’s linguistic duality.

Join us as we continue to:

  • Advocate for increased and improved FSL opportunities for students at the school district level and with school administration.
  • Help provide expanded learning opportunities at your school.
  • Help other parents needing resources and information to support their child’s FSL learning.
  • Encourage students to continue their FSL journey by providing unique learning opportunities and access to special CPF programs such as tutoring.
  • For every CPF member you sign up, a portion of their membership fees go directly to your team for events and activities.

HOW DO WE SUPPORT YOU?

  • Your CPF PEI Team contact will support you with all required resources to help meet your objectives.
  • When you apply for our Socio Cultural Bursary CPF-PEI branch will provide a $100 bursary to start your team.
