Canadian Parents for French-PEI is thrilled to announce the appointment of our new Chairwomen and President of CPF-PEI’S Board of Directors of CPF PEI.
We welcome Robyn Gallant with all of her experience and passion for continuing the growth of the French language in PEI, through innovative programs and resources to our French language students, parents and educators.
Newly appointed CPF PEI President Robyn Gallant is a clear example of what can be accomplished by Canadian parents who advocate strongly for the French language. Being raised by one anglophone parent and one bilingual parent, she graduated with honors from École Évangéline, as a French first language student. She then went on to complete 4 years in post-secondary education in English at Acadia University. Being involved with Francophone youth on PEI since her own childhood has always been important to her; she currently serves as Senior Counselor for Jeunesse Acadienne et Francophone de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard. Her professional life has thrived on her linguistic assets – having held positions in tourism, the provincial government, and francophone-specific immigration, she is now a local entrepreneur actively involved in helping promote bilingualism in services and events across PEI.
“I am so excited, and so thankful, to be involved with CPF PEI. I firmly believe that today’s children – and their beliefs, strengths and skills – have the ability to change our tomorrow. Helping them and their families to live in, grow in, and love French as much as we do is our main priority.”

Canadian Parents for French (CPF) PEI is seeking new voices for our Provincial Board of Directors.
We would like to invite you to show your interest in French-second-language education through volunteering on our Board of Directors. We are an enthusiastic group that works at providing opportunities for youth and information to parents.
Directors are elected for either one or two-year terms and are responsible for supporting the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. Board of Director positions are voluntary and some travel might be required. Travel expenses are reimbursed. The Board of Directors meet in person at least four times a year; other meetings may occur by teleconference.
If you value French-second-language education programs as an integral part of PEI’s schools and if you are dedicated to providing opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French, we need you!
