LOCAL COORDINATOR (YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM)
(Seasonal employment – Part Time from March – June, Full Time from June – August)

Location: Various Positions across Canada, Summer Work Student Exchange Program
Positions available in Atlantic Canada. Successful applicants in the region will reside in the following communities: Halifax/Dartmouth, NS, Saint John, NB, Fredericton, NB, Charlottetown, PEI, St. John’s, NL
Local Coordinators must be post-secondary students. They will support a group of up to 10 exchange participants in a local community. Their main responsibilities will include: recruiting youth, hosts, and employers in their community; planning and implementing diverse activities for the participants that comply with our program mandate; fostering learning and civic engagement amongst participants; being a positive adult mentor; maintaining good relationships among participants, hosts, employers and other stakeholders; as well as completing administration tasks as assigned. The Local Coordinator will work closely with their Support and Regional Coordinators to help resolve any conflicts that arise within their community. Successful candidates will have had previous experience working with youth, will possess and utilize strong communication and organizational skills, and be highly responsible and reliable individuals.
