What is DELF ?

The DELF is an official diploma awarded by the French national ministry of education. The DELF is available in  175 countries and administered by more than 1000 authorized centres, including  40 in Canada. Since its introduction, more than 35 000 Canadians took the DELF.

Four separate DELF exams exist. Four skills are assessed at each level: listening, reading, writing and speaking. In Prince Edward Island, the DELF scolaire offers exams for three of the four competence levels: A2 (Beginner), B1 (Pre-intermediate) and B2 (Intermediate).
